Every startup has a story. Some start with a problem that has to be solved, while others start with a market opportunity.. For me, DSwipe was born from a challenge I personally faced throughout my entrepreneurial journey.

I’m Safwan Mubarak, a young entrepreneur from Kerala with a deep passion for networking, technology, and business growth. Over the years, I attended business events, entrepreneurship programs, startup meetups, and networking sessions. While these experiences helped me build valuable connections, I noticed a recurring problem.
Making connections was easy.
Managing and maintaining them was not.
Traditional business cards often got lost. Contact details were forgotten. Meaningful conversations ended without proper follow-up. Despite living in a digital world, networking still relied heavily on outdated methods.
That simple observation sparked an idea that would eventually become DSwipe.
The Beginning of DSwipe
The vision behind DSwipe did not appear overnight.
The journey started nearly two years ago when I began researching how professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and business owners connect with each other.
I spoke with founders, professionals, mentors, and industry leaders. I observed networking events and listened carefully to the frustrations people experienced when exchanging information.
The more conversations I had, the clearer the problem became.
People needed a smarter and more efficient way to network.
That realization led to the foundation of DSwipe — a modern networking platform powered by NFC technology and digital identity solutions.
Two Years of Research and Development
Building a startup is rarely a straight path.
Over the past two years, countless hours were invested in research, validation, planning, testing, and refining the concept.
There were moments of excitement and moments of uncertainty. There were ideas that worked and ideas that didn’t.
However, every challenge helped improve the vision.
Rather than rushing to launch a product, the focus remained on understanding the problem deeply and creating a solution that genuinely adds value.
This journey taught me that successful startups are not built solely through ideas. They are built through consistency, learning, and the willingness to improve continuously.
A Proud Validation Moment
One of the most memorable moments in my entrepreneurial journey was getting the opportunity to present the DSwipe concept to Subhash Babu K.
As an entrepreneur, pitching your idea to experienced business leaders can be both exciting and challenging. Their feedback often reveals new perspectives that help strengthen your vision.
During our discussion, he appreciated the concept and shared valuable insights that helped me think more strategically about the future of DSwipe.
What made the experience particularly meaningful was discovering that the networking challenges DSwipe aims to solve are challenges even experienced leaders face.
That moment provided powerful validation.
It confirmed that the problem is real and that the solution has genuine potential.

The Role of Mentorship
Behind every growing startup are people who provide guidance and support.
I am grateful to Darvesh Mangool, CEO of Malabar Innovation Entrepreneurship Zone (MiZone), whose mentorship has played an important role throughout this journey.
His encouragement, honest feedback, and entrepreneurial insights have helped shape my thinking and strengthen my confidence as a founder.
Entrepreneurship can often feel overwhelming, but the right mentors can make a significant difference.
Their experience helps founders avoid mistakes, gain clarity, and stay focused on their mission.
More Than an NFC Business Card
Many people initially see DSwipe as an NFC Business Card solution.
While NFC technology is an important part of what we do, DSwipe is much more than a digital business card.
Our vision is to create a complete networking ecosystem that helps people build, manage, and grow meaningful professional relationships.
We believe networking should be simple, modern, and accessible.
Whether you are an entrepreneur seeking investors, a student looking for opportunities, a professional building your career, or a business owner expanding your network, DSwipe aims to make that process easier and more effective.
Why Networking Matters
One lesson I have learned throughout my entrepreneurial journey is that networking is one of the most valuable assets in business.
Opportunities often come through people.
Partnerships begin through conversations.
Growth happens through relationships.
The stronger your network, the greater your opportunities become.
That belief continues to drive the mission behind DSwipe.
We are not simply building technology.
We are helping people create meaningful connections that can open doors, create opportunities, and transform careers and businesses.
A Message to Young Entrepreneurs
If there is one lesson I would share with aspiring entrepreneurs, it is this:
Never keep your ideas locked inside your mind.
Share them.
Discuss them.
Seek feedback.
Listen carefully.
Your idea will evolve every time you have a meaningful conversation with the right people.
Many of the improvements behind DSwipe came directly from discussions with entrepreneurs, mentors, business leaders, and professionals.
The willingness to listen, learn, and adapt has been one of the most valuable parts of this journey.
Looking Ahead
Today, DSwipe represents more than two years of research and development.
It represents a vision.
A vision to simplify networking.
A vision to empower professionals and entrepreneurs.
A vision to build smarter business connections through technology.
As the founder of DSwipe, I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported this journey so far.
While we are proud of the progress we have made, we believe the most exciting chapters are still ahead.
This is only the beginning.
And we remain committed to building the future of networking — one connection at a time.
